|HIGHER LEVEL TEACHING ASSISTANT (HLTA)
|Band 6 (SCP 21-25) starting salary is £20,248 pro rata
We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Infant School. Under the professional oversight and with the supervision of a suitably qualified and experienced teacher the successful candidate will be responsible for:
• classroom cover supervision - including responding to pupils’ questions and generally help pupils undertake activities and achieve learning outcomes.
• planning and preparing lessons/learning activities and delivering these in either a subject specialism or key stage of the national teaching and learning curriculum to a whole class.
• recording and reporting on development progress and attainment, and
• managing and supervising pupil behaviour.
This post is 30 hours per week (Term Time Only) Working hours are set between 08:30 and 15:30.

As part of the interview process applicants will be observed reading a story (of your choice) to a class of Key Stage 1 children followed by a short circle time.
