SPECIALIST INTERVENTION TEACHING ASSISTANT FOR DYSLEXIA
Band 5
(Initial one year contract)
Salary: Band 5 - £11,892 actual salary.
30 hours per week, term time only.
Priory School is a successful 11-16 comprehensive school in Southsea. In response to our changing curriculum needs we are seeking suitable candidates to be part of our intervention support staff team.

We share the duty to teach our pupils about the responsibilities they have to uphold their rights and the rights of others.
Have you the skills to work with pupils’ at risk of dyslexia, being able to manage a personal workload effectively.
Training can be provided to ensure that the Dyslexia Screening Test (DST) can be used to assess a pupil’s needs. Liaison and communication with staff, parents and pupils will be an essential aspect of the role.
This role will involve supporting the pupils in small groups, working 1:1 or in the classroom; diagnostic testing of their needs; monitoring their progress and enabling intervention strategies.
