PART TIME NORTH EAST COMMUNITY IMPROVEMENT PARTNERSHIP - EXTENDED SERVICES CO-ORDINATOR (FIXED TERM)

Scale 7 (£22,221 - £26,276 pro rata )

0.4 fte secondment opportunity to 31st March 2011

This is an exciting opportunity to work in the North East of Portsmouth (Drayton, Farlington, East Cosham and Highbury areas) with a range of different schools, their partner agencies, parents, children and young people. The NECIP works to improve the services for and the wellbeing of children, young people, their families and the community. A working knowledge of the NECIP is an essential requirement for this post.

We are looking for a versatile person to join our enthusiastic partnership that is committed to improving outcomes for children, young people and families. Although no two days are ever likely to be the same, typical tasks will range from commissioning holiday activities to consulting with children and providing information and advice at youth clubs to close liaise with Children’s Centres. You’ll certainly never be bored or at a loss for something to do!

This is a job where personality and experience are as important as having good levels of literacy and numeracy. Your excellent communication and time management skills will be matched by your boundless initiative and a sensitive approach. You’ll also be capable under pressure and to stay calm when priorities clash.
